Why Tenera • High-yielding — up to 25% more fresh fruit bunches than Dura palms • Earlier harvesting — first bunches from 36 months (3 years) • Dwarf habit — about 50% shorter than tall palms, making harvesting easier and safer • Higher oil extraction ratio (OER) from fresh fruit bunches (FFB) • Long productive life — 35 to 40 years of harvesting • More tolerant to drought • Highly affordable per seed Planting your sprouts Bag each seed into a pre-nursery polybag within a few days of arrival — root (radicle) pointing down, shoot (plumule) up — about 2–3 cm deep in a well-drained loam. Keep shaded and evenly moist. Move seedlings to the main nursery at 3–4 months and plant out to the field at 10–12 months, spaced 9 m in a triangular pattern (about 143 palms per hectare).
